How Kazzzi payments work: M-Pesa, Airtel Money and CRDB

In short

You top up your Kazzzi wallet with M-Pesa, Airtel Money or CRDB, then pay for bookings from the wallet. The amount is held safely and only released when the job is completed; if an order is cancelled, it returns to your wallet.

Topping up

  1. Open Wallet in the Kazzzi app and choose to top up.
  2. Enter the amount and your mobile money number.
  3. Confirm the payment prompt on your phone with your usual PIN.
  4. The money appears in your Kazzzi wallet once your mobile money provider confirms it.

Paying for a booking

When you book a service or hire someone for a gig, the amount is set aside from your wallet and held by Kazzzi. It is released when the job is completed — not before. The app shows the full price, including any fees, before you confirm.

Cancellations and refunds

If an order is cancelled before it's done, the held amount is returned to your Kazzzi wallet.

Withdrawing earnings

Freelancers are paid into their Kazzzi wallet when their work is approved, and can withdraw to their mobile money account. Most withdrawals arrive quickly; occasionally the mobile network takes a little longer to confirm, and you can follow the status in the app.
