How Kazzzi Base works: get found by clients

What Kazzzi Base is

Kazzzi Base is a pool of freelancers that clients can search by role or task, such as plumber, painter or someone to fix a leak. If you are on Kazzzi Base, clients who need your skills can find you and message you directly, without waiting for you to apply to a gig.

Create your profile

Open My public profile in the Kazzzi app. If you are not verified yet, the app first takes you to the ID and selfie check. Once you are verified, tap Create my profile. Creating it costs nothing. You will also need a complete account: your full name, gender, a short bio, your city, your birth date and a confirmed phone or email.

1. Add a clear photo of your face. The default avatar cannot be published.
2. Pick your role from the list.
3. Write a short headline, for example: Plumber, 6 years, Kinondoni.
4. Write two or three sentences about what you do.
5. Add up to 10 words clients might search for, in Swahili or English, such as leaks, water tanks or mabomba.

Kai can help. Tap Refine with Kai and it suggests a role, headline, description and search words. You decide what to keep.

Keep contact details out

Do not write phone numbers, emails or links in your headline, description or words. Clients contact you through Kazzzi chat, and your own contact details are never shown on your profile.

Go live, then we check

When your profile is complete, you agree to show it and pay for visibility from your wallet or by mobile money. Your profile goes live at once and clients can find you. While a person at Kazzzi checks it, usually within a day, the app shows Live in purple with "Live · under review".

• Approved: Live turns green. Nothing else changes.
• Not approved: your profile goes offline and you see the reason. The payment is not refunded, but your paid days are paused. Fix it and send it again. Once the fixed version is approved, you are live again and the paused days are added back.

Stay visible and be found

Your profile appears in client searches for as long as your visibility runs. The app reminds you before it ends so you can renew.

If you want to appear first, you can add a Top spot while you are live. It features you above the normal list for the period you pick, and it ends when your visibility ends.

If you change your profile while it is live, including your photos, your current version stays visible until the change is approved.

What clients see

• Before they pay: your photo, first name and role.
• After they pay: your full name, rating, how far away you are, what you do, and a way to message you in Kazzzi.

You need to be verified

A public profile is only for verified freelancers. Finish Kazzzi's ID and selfie check in the app first. Checking usually takes 1 to 2 days, and you can create your profile as soon as you are verified. The Verified badge then shows on your profile.

Staying safe

• Agree the price and the address in the chat before the job.
• Do not take payment outside Kazzzi before you have met the client.
• Phone numbers, links and payment requests cannot be sent in Find chat. Messages that include them are not delivered.
• Use Report or Block in a chat if someone is rude, unsafe or asks you to pay outside Kazzzi.

You can take your profile down at any time with Unpublish. The days you have left are not refunded.
