Kazzzi is Tanzania's gig marketplace, connecting freelancers and workers with businesses and organizations across Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mwanza, Dodoma and Mbeya. As we grow, we need someone who can run the operational side of the business end to end: partnerships onboarded, day-to-day execution across teams kept on track, and the numbers behind the business understood well enough to spot where we're bleeding time or money. Fixed-term contract, reporting directly to the Founder/CEO. This role does not include equity or additional benefits. Attendance at weekly meetings and a detailed end-of-month performance report are required.
What you'll be doing
- Identify and onboard new partner organizations, businesses, NGOs, institutions, that can post jobs on Kazzzi.
- Maintain a partnership pipeline: prospects, active partners, dormant leads, and follow up on each until they're properly onboarded and posting jobs.
- Track execution of partner commitments and make sure nothing agreed to a partner falls through.
- Oversee day-to-day execution across Communications, Technical, Marketing and Partnerships, making sure each team's deliverables stay on schedule and blockers get resolved quickly.
- Support scaling of the in-house service booking workforce, including coordination on hiring, training, uniforms and dispatch, toward the Company's staffing targets.
- Track core unit economics: cost per gig, profit per gig, and customer lifetime value, and flag where spending is inefficient or unnecessary.
- Keep an operations follow-up log covering partner requests, internal dependencies, and execution status across departments.
- Prepare periodic operational performance reports summarizing execution, spending, and progress against Company targets.
- Flag recurring operational problems to management before they become bigger issues.
- Attend weekly meetings and submit a detailed end-of-month performance report.
What we're looking for
- Based in or able to work from Dar es Salaam.
- Comfortable owning a pipeline and following up relentlessly until things close, not just starting conversations and moving on.
- Able to work across multiple teams and hold people to deadlines without needing constant direction.
- Basic comfort with numbers: unit costs, margins, and spotting where money or time is being wasted.
- Organized enough to track multiple partners, teams and internal dependencies at once without losing the thread.
- Prior experience in operations, business management, or partnerships is a strong plus.
